Your child may have come home recently and talked about me visiting their room to talk about how we want to help them develop a better ability to make good choices. To further their thinking process, I focused on three words: STOP, THINK, and CHANGE.
When children choose to engage in disruptive, disrespectful or hurtful behavior, we want them to be able to STOP the behavior, THINK about what they have done and what they are going to do, and we want them to CHANGE their behavior when we allow them to rejoin the class.
The ability to STOP, THINK, and CHANGE is a life-skill that will benefit children throughout their lives.
